Rules Changes effective 03-15-2001

  1. Rule I, the Rule of Tincture, has been modified due to further research. The new rule is inserted as I.C., and all subsequent subsections have been renumbered. The rule reads:

I.C. Vert mounts (bases enarched) may be placed on plain Azure fields. The converse is not permitted.

What this means is that a green mount (which is basically a heralic representation of a hill) may appear on a blue field. This appears regularly in Anglo-French heraldry, and should be allowed by our Rules.

  1. Rule II, Tincture Restrictions, has been absorbed into Rule I as subsections K and L. There is now no longer a Rule II.
