Rules Changes effective 03-15-2001
- Rule I, the Rule of Tincture, has been modified due to further research. The new rule is
inserted as I.C., and all subsequent subsections have been renumbered. The rule reads:
I.C. Vert mounts (bases enarched) may be placed on plain Azure fields. The
converse is not permitted.
What this means is that a green mount (which is basically a heralic representation of a
hill) may appear on a blue field. This appears regularly in Anglo-French heraldry, and
should be allowed by our Rules.
- Rule II, Tincture Restrictions, has been absorbed into Rule I as subsections K and L.
There is now no longer a Rule II.
