The Duchy of Somerset

Northeast Indiana, East Central Indiana, and Northwest Ohio

  • The members of the Duchy of Somerset; while making their homes in Northeast Indiana, East Central Indiana, and Northwest Ohio; have worked hard to make Somerset a true family. We dedicate ourselves to the practice of the medieval way of life; from combat and archery, to arts & sciences and culinary skills. Our combatants fight with great honor, our archers compete with skill, our artisans display their works with pride, and our cooks make sure we all are fed well at the end of the day. Through all of that, our ministers work with great dedication to keep the Duchy moving smoothly.
  • Started in 2002, the Duchy of Somerset has grown from its original size to encompass a great many people from a variety of backgrounds. From Scottish and Irish mercenaries to Spanish and Italian corsairs; from Danish Vikings to English, French, and German nobles; Somerset welcomes all with open arms to join us at our table, in our tournaments, or over a bottle of some of the wonderful home-made cordials offered up by our members.
  • We urge any and all interested members to come join us at one of our monthly events, or to send an email to either of our Crowns or our Hospitaler with any questions. Somerset has become a great home for many, and extends its family atmosphere to all members, old and new alike. Chivalry is alive and well in Somerset. Come see for yourself!
