CHAPTERS

The Adrian Empire is an international organization (the United States of America and Canada) that is led by an Emperor and/or Empress who lead the Empire and the Imperial Government. Adria is made up of regional chapters. Chapters usually cover specific territories / geographical areas, but some overlap. Each chapter type has a minimum number of members that it must maintain as well as reponsibilities that it must meet. The larger chapter types have increasing responsibilities but also increasing independance from the Imperial Government.

CANTONS

Cantons are satellite locations of chapters and are led by ministers that are usually called the Viceroy and/or Vicereine of the area. Some chapters have long-standing cantons and local laws defining them, but otherwise they may be created and dissolved by the leaders of the chapter to help manage those outlying areas.

ESTATES

Within chapters can be voluntarily formed and maintained groups. These are members of that chapter's Estates. As with chapters, there are larger and smaller groups, but unlike chapters, larger groups may include smaller groups. For example, a barony often contains three houses. Individuals of the chapter are not required to join any of these groups and smaller groups are not required to be part of a larger group.
